Solution
Multiple scenarios were modeled, considering wind turbine operating points and network configurations.
Preliminary harmonic filter parameters were specified to ensure compliance with the National Electricity Rules (NER).
Results
Middleton Group determined that the wind farm’s harmonic emissions complied with the NER. A harmonic filter was not required for the project, with appropriate steps taken to work with the client and project stakeholders to deliver to their time frames and keep the project on schedule.
