From our Managing Director

Kia ora! I’m Keith Middleton, born and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand of Pākehā and Ngāti Māhanga (Waikato) heritage.

I’ve worked in specialist power engineering and professional services in rail, power, water, airports and heavy industry around the world. Over that time, a vision developed: To bring together a team of engineers and project managers with a genuine passion to contribute to a sustainable energy future.

In 2016, Middleton Group was founded in Melbourne. The company is now an employee-owned firm with more than 80 engineers and project managers in Sydney and Melbourne who work alongside communities and businesses across Australasia to help their transition to a low-carbon future.

We’re expanding our work in Aotearoa New Zealand and invite companies and individuals to work with us to help create a sustainable energy future for our families, our communities and industry.

Our registrations and certifications

Middleton Group’s business in Aotearoa New Zealand is a proud member of Amotai, an organisation that links corporate procurement managers to Māori-owned businesses to grow indigenous businesses within the wider national economy.

In Aotearoa New Zealand, more than 150 government departments and agencies are obliged to dedicate at least 8% of their annual procurement spend to genuine and registered Māori and/or Pacific businesses, a policy, known as progressive procurement that many private companies have implemented too.

Our membership of Amotai allows us to forge stronger connections in the Māori economy as well as give back to indigenous-owned infrastructure companies.
